Hazel at the dentist

Today Hazel took her first trip to the dentist! She has 20 teeth! And we were told they look good.

Reading a magazine (aloud) in the waiting room

Hazel was very curious about her surroundings and the hygienist showed her how to work the little sink

Happily reclined and holding a new toothbrush

Brita, this one’s for you! This lamb was born yesterday!

Team tractor driving

This little bantam hen was a big hit. Hazel touched her neck feathers, back, tail feathers and downy under-wing feathers…all with just one finger, as instructed

Short interlude at home: 30 week silly picture

Afternoon outing: small school playground

Hazel is so much more capable — and brave — than she was here last fall

After we tired of the small school playground we went around the building to the bigger playground where Hazel made a friend. They played and played and played together!

Picnic and playground

Best family portrait ever!

Thanks guys!

Bonus at this playground: great scooting expanse on the basketball courts

All played out, needing a rest and a story and lots of hair against her face

April = spring

We’re still loving April! It’s already given us so much!

This is Hazel’s preferred spot in the children’s room at the library: directly in front of the new books display

Home from the library and time to run around (literally…around the car)

Hazel pressed the shutter release button on this one (I’m feeling pretty sentimental these days about having an only child. Apparently it brings out the urge to take selfies…)

We stayed outside so long that Supey came home and played too!

This dance-like display was accompanied by shouts of “I win! I win! I win!” Where does she get this stuff?

It’s April

Hazel is thrilled that it is her birthday month! (And also to be visiting the farm and stomping in puddles)

Hazel did a lot of running today

By a lot I mean a lot lot!

How neat are these shadows?

We were out in the sun; animals were out in the sun
