We visited Mt. Rainier again today at the access area called Sunrise, which is the highest point in the park that can be reached by vehicle. (At 6400 feet the parking lot is higher than the summit of Mt. Washington!)
We ascended another 300 feet along the Sunrise Nature Trail
Which was absolutely stunning
On both sides of the ridge
Landry opted for the carrier early on
But had loads of enthusiasm for a juice box at lunch
All in all, it was breathtaking

Astonishingly beautiful! Makes Foss Mountain look like an anthill! Ah – but no blueberries, right? Seriously, the scenery behind you looks like it was painted. Just amazing.
Can you feel the altitude there? (I fear I would.)
