Play the day away

Early and simple

Reading over breakfast (note the fox’s new accessory in the foreground)

Steam rolling some play dough

Building a pet salon (here installing a treasure chest, duh)

It’s meticulous work

That’s a bunny hopping up the ramp into a bubble bath

These replicas of WALL-E and Eve truly played the day away and are now tucked into bed with Hazel (That green block on the right is a plant in WALL-E’s belly)

Snow ball

Not the kind of snow ball you might think….this kind

Taking a break from kicking to touch a snow shelf

Dropping a huge snow clump on the red ball

You may be surprised to learn that the service window is open all year

“Supey, will you do tricks with me?”

The whole Radiator Springs gang out in force

First snow of 2014

We only talked Hazel into coming outside by promising that we weren’t going to have fun, but we needed to do a project and would she like to help?

The project: clear the car

Hazel, human snow removal unit

Then, somehow, from project to sledding

Clearly no fun being had here

Here’s a similar shot from almost a year ago

Really, what’s a snow day without baking?

And sharing

2013 out

We sent the year out with Hazel’s first trip to the Boston Children’s Museum

After this picture was taken Hazel began a rousing rendition of Jingle Bells in this quiet car. By the end of the third time around some grown ups joined in!

First stop: golf ball room

Next stop: trains

And front row seat to the fish

“Let’s get building”

Piano player and band leader (ordering her parents to play nearby guitars)

Playtime central

Hazel spent a while this morning protecting Molly from Clementine on the basement stairs

I was told that the fox was expecting a sleepover guest (namely tiny white bear) in the neighboring bay

Showing Uncle Had the marker that hadn’t yet washed off

Horsing around

Pretend painting (real painting was promised at our house)

Racing with Grampy

Hazel is ringing the racing start bell

Protection hug (eye on the dog)

Merry birthday!
