Hazel had to come to work with me for a little while today. As a reward afterward she had some alien treats in this orange chair outside the library
She loved this retaining wall ramp beside a short flight of stairs. (It was perfect for a two year old — it even had a handrail!)
Hazel had a lot to say about the orb fountain (“There’s water coming from the top.” and “Big ball!” and “It’s really pretty.”) We stayed a long time.
I only caught Hazel’s trick on video after she’d already done it about 16 times. Here’s the too tired to jump version with enthusiastic yet exhausted stuttering

Every time I turned around today there were blocks in play
Hazel was super into these Toy Story themed UNO cards. We lined them up and matched colors and characters. (Hers are the rows with cards spaced close together.)
This is the second day in a row that I caught Hazel’s throwing wind-up
Baby dog Zoe came over to sniff Hazel. (A millisecond later Hazel drew in all limbs)

Auntie Casey brought these neat party toys from when Nate was little. (They were a hit for all ages)
Uncle Ben showed Hazel how to load Nate’s new balloon rocket

Hazel started with some calm wading in a tide pool
And soon progressed to waves
There was kite flying thanks to the Cains who brought a Hazel-sized kite

Next it was to the campground. Hazel felt right at home
This gigantic banana slug felt right at home, too
Hazel accompanied Oliver while he scooted (and briefly scooted twice herself — a natural)
She also helped set up the rain cover…and just in time for some rainy, poury, rain!
