The fog looks pretty thick up ahead!

Keeping cool

This game involved a lot of tossing and splashing of dinosaurs

Hazel slipped her way into the pool while it was filling and landed on her back, which is why she’s significantly more soggy than usual in these pictures

Facing forward

Uninstalling, cleaning up, and preparing for the final frontier:

Forward facing travel!

This will be the last change in car seat arrangements (like this and this) until Hazel graduates to a booster seat in a few years.

Lyrics (duh): Circle to the left, Old Brass Wagon. Circle to the left, Old Brass Wagon. Circle to the left, Old Brass Wagon. You’re the one my darling.

Pink on red

There were many shades of red and pink at the playground today

Running blur of pink Hazel among the red plastic fixtures

Even our stroller is red

And the soles of Hazel’s shoes are pink

Finally some green relief in the bleachers

Back at home Hazel made elaborate seating arrangements for her puppet guests

Oscillating fan

Hazel cools herself and the bunny finger puppet

What does a sheep get from a tractor ride? Bread for dinner, of course

Happy birthday Supey

Hazel was so happy about this pie with candles that you might have thought it was her birthday

Is there anything cuter than this?

Helping to blow out the candles

Five finger puppets on five fingers

Space cadet at the cardboard controls (Hazel’s own design, I might add)

Loony lake

A real loon chick on the lake is the talk of the town. We haven’t seen the baby yet but it appears to have made an impact on Hazel already.

Hazel made up a story about these loons while she was playing: the dad was scared of a shadow so the mom and baby helped him

This was the loon family’s house

Right to left: Chicken eater and chicken beggar

Sharing (permission had been granted)

Hazel was proud of her tall tower (See also how there’s a crooked yellow block on the lower left? There’s a pteranodon under there)
