Happy birthday to our five year old bug catcher

Home sick today but enjoying a new video game

There’s so much to say about bugs!

This little sweet pie was feeling under the weather on his last day being four

Hoping some snoozes will help

Big sis, big reader

Rainbow star dreams do come true

Get ’em!

Never a bigger smile

Cousin power!

Fairly dividing the loot

Watching Grandpa Arno retrieve a frisbee from the roof

Happy birthday dear Landry

Five candles! (Thanks to Auntie Marika for this great shot!)

Last day of school as a four year old

Getting ready to celebrate

Everyone see how Landry is perched with his legs up? I’m glad he asked for a picture

Silly jump

Let the birthday celebrations begin (with an old nature preschool pal)!

Hazel had no patience for pictures today

Central meadow raised rock throne: these two were both on top after careful negotiation between neighboring kingdoms

Grandma’s first visit to Chambers beach! Beautiful day for it

Today was our 4th annual trip to Staircase in Olympic National Park! (2018, 2017, 2016)

Before we even reached the trailhead we met a furry caterpillar

The park is still full of fern alleys, and today Landry wore the sweatshirt that Hazel did at (just about) the same age

One more candid before a bunch of posed pics

Posed with greenery

Posed with scenery

Absolutely no machinery

Mixed media nature art

Early bird

On the move in the early light

Still searching in the middle of the day

Carefully watching the babies

Fueled up and ready to run again
