We spent the weekend at the ocean!
And at the rainforest!
But first it was my 40th birthday and the kids made me lots of presents
The sun was shining at home
It was still shining at the beach when we arrived at our cabin on the Olympic Peninsula
Soon the boots were off
And the sunset upon us
Here is a taste of the view from the cabin
Then, inland to the Hoh Rainforest!

Trees like these sprouted in a line along a still-visible nurse log
Dwarfed by giants
Tailgate car picnic lunch in the warm sun
Then back to the ocean
Run for your life!!!

It wasn’t until this second viewing that I saw Hazey’s head in the foreground of the picture of Landry with the tree trunks on the beach. Just goes to show that you’ll enjoy looking at these for at least another forty years to come…
