Easter basket runner up

Another contender

Can’t see the basket very well but I love the enthusiasm

We had a rainy, relatively quiet and mostly indoor Easter Sunday this year. Don’t miss Hazel’s annual basket picture in a separate post. It is her eighth Easter, believe it or not. Pretty impressive for a girl who’s still six!

Hop, hop, drop. Landry is still carrying around yesterday’s prized painted rock

She’s not fooling; another important date is fast approaching

Found a match!

Grandma Linda came over for some brunch and some Yahtzee

Here we were talking about all of the strange and gross things that the Easter Bunny will surely leave in the kids’ eggs (e.g. smelly socks, snail slime….only time will tell)

Not 20 steps inside the zoo and what does Landry find?!?! His talent is unparalleled!

Gang of three leading the way

We got to watch as the barn owl got his enrichment for the day (some fresh branches, in this case)

Thanks for an awesome visit at our zoo, Miles!

Also there was this

And this

Hazel stayed up past her bedtime to go to the science fair tonight

Things got more lively when the local astronomical society helped the kids make (and stomp) rockets!

Earlier, counting balls at the children’s museum

Members of the after-school sibling club

Landry hopped outside and got his socks wet pretty much the moment they were on his feet

Second set of wet socks in those boots

That expression

“I’m gonna tell you about my day”

Cracking a missing insect case

Sitting primly in a busy playspace

A big sister any little brother would be lucky to have

Apparently it’s fun week in swimming class…the last of the session

Good old fashioned Dupe extravaganza!

Landry created a candy land

Hazel revisited some old favorites: Eva robot and souped up vehicle

This year we baked 18 eggs to dye

Landry left his eggs in the dye for ages and ages

So many beautiful colors for Supey’s favorite holiday

First ever science fair display!!!

Landry found a bug — got to show it to Hazey
