Cousin sleepover

It began with a trip to a playground (Not pictured: Hazel’s two hour nap in my lap)

Then tired cousins went back to Grandma’s house

And played some more

Carkeek Park

Having a little snack with a book before hitting the road (Hazel was singing Old MacDonald using the animals from this decidedly non-farm story)

We met these turkeys at the beach

Here one turkey is wearing goggles while the other turkey is scurrying around

Moments later the gogggled turkey is still goggling and the scurrying turkey has scurried into the sand

Auntie Marika helped Hazel blow the sand from her toes

Beautiful spot for an “alien treat”

Picking tomatoes from Grandma’s garden

And strawberries

Tiny passenger

There is a baby’s face poking through the blocks. (Also, Hazel insisted on wearing pants today. These pants.)

Blocks two ways

Cooking up a structure with blocks, string and space rangers

Kissable cheeks

Running around the table!

Hazel made this block tower all by herself while the grownups were in another room. This is also how she chose to pose with her masterpiece

Walk in the woods

Getting into the nature spirit before our walk

Heading into the woods say hello to the turtle we rescued a few weeks ago. (It was long gone)

Forest Hazel

Think she’ll ever hike with me?

See why we love this walk?

Hazel’s view from the stroller (and check out the awesome acorn in her right hand)

Bits and pieces

Hazel’s day started with a three-sided, four-blanket tent

A couple of muppets in a stroller came to Drumlin today

Hazel insisted on pulling over onto the grass when anyone was walking behind us

Flapping wings like a chicken

Grassy peek-a-boo
