Hazel learned how to put Molly the cat’s medicine into her food from a tiny capsule

Once the medicine was in the cat’s dish, Hazel practiced closing and opening the capsule

Until she could do it easily

Helping Grampy sand a portion of his Halloween costume

Stacking colorful erasers atop a painted pumpkin

This is the best shot I could get of Hazel’s cut lip from a fall yesterday. Already much better!

Otherwise known as Walden Pond to most people. Hazel was here once before. This was a totally different trip!

Here they’re getting one of their first glimpses of the pond from the loop trail

Watching a swimmer in a wet suit

Digging and drawing with a stick

Washing the stick

I love walking in the woods!

Hazel seems to, too! She ran and walked the entire 2+ mile loop.

She says that this sign says “Hazel”

Stump stepping tricks

Beautiful autumn morning!

Building with two arms and a lot of concentration

Fly’s eye view

Ramping like the old days

Hazel woke up from her nap talking about the “red bug” that “Lightming” [sic] is afraid of

So we built it

Spontaneous pose… captured on film

Like in this one, she might have been bored of listening to grownups talk

No matter the cause, it led to THIS! (Thanks Lisa!)

Beach ball mayhem

Hazel giggled and cackled her whole way through this game

And happily soldiered on through the ruckus!
